Welcome

Therapy offers benefits to you in many ways.

Meeting with an experienced therapist provides the opportunity to explore your concerns within a safe and private setting. This helps to increase self awareness, understanding, and change in areas you feel unhappy or stuck. Most people seek therapy during a painful time to help relieve distress. Therapy can also result in incredible growth and learning about yourself, your relationships, and can be a journey toward expanding your potential. If you are looking for help through a challenging situation or you are ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goal.

As a trained psychoanalyst, I can help you address the relational and behavioral patterns or negative perceptions interfering with a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Long standing childhood coping strategies, out of awareness, are often at the root of current problems. These old patterns are self sustaining in the present in complex ways. These old patterns can hurt important relationships or hold you back in work or life aspirations. Therapy helps to address this. Growth resulting from successful therapy can leave you feeling better, having greater self confidence, clarity, freedom, and direction. As a trained psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, I also appreciate the need to screen for biologically based contributions to current issues. Underlying medical and mood disorders may be contributing to certain problems and require help additional to talk therapy. Referrals to other health practitioners will be suggested as appropriate.

I have been a practicing therapist for over 25 years. I have a graduate degree and certification as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist allowing me to independently practice as a psychotherapist. I have advanced training as a psychoanalyst. I have additional specialized training in couple and family therapy.

Please call or email me for an individual, couples or family therapy consultation when ready.
